Hi guys, I thought I'd post up some photos of my friends.....erm..... Hunting buggy. He wanted to make up a vehicle to go shooting in but couldn't find anything suitable for his requirements, so he made one himself. It was a Subaru Leone wagon 4x4, as ugly as a hat full of arseholes, then started chopping. As you can see the bar work is really good. His project is only half finished. It needs bash plates and mud guards and heaps of little things to be done, but it runs fine. I think its really cool. What do you all think?

Don't like your chances of getting a pink slip.

Would of taken a bit to do that. looks cool. I recon he still needs to toughen it up a bit more like put a mad max style front on it. Like a train grill cow catcher type a thing or somthing.

A bit more body armour and some spot lights would make this thing look very mean! :spoton:

Yeah it'd look the part with a .50 cal on the roof! I might suggest to him about fitting some "spinning blades of doom" on the front. Just incase he runs out of bullets, he can mow down the wildlife and make sausages :)

That's cool. I'd recommend a couple of decent strut braces before he goes too "offroad". I like it though. Would be a hoot!!!!

A sealed battery would be a good idea! You wouldn't want battery acid all over your left leg...

Thats awesome! I love the mechanical layout of those Subies. We used to have just a front wheel drive Leone sedan and that was such a grouse car till it got stolen and we never saw it again.

But i'd have to agree with all the suggestions made so far about this. Make sure you post up some 'in action' shots when your mate gets it all going.

Needs a lift kit and muddies.

If you come across anything slightly muddy in that you'll be digging for hours.

Hi guys. It's going to be lifted quite a bit higher and bigger diameter wheels fitted. He mentioned something about rally tyres. The battery will go behind the passenger seat. But there's still a lot of bar work to go yet :)

I doubt there will be too much shenanigans going on in it. The guy who is building it is in his late 50's. However, he spent a large part of his life building and racing 4x4s in competitions

Your mate probably already knows this, but you can buy retread rally tires. I used in an old LH rally car that we had.
