There will be a contingent heading up from the Canberra Torana Club. If your not so special, we cater for all types, so let us know if you'd like to join us.

Clubs and individuals get in early. Our club just got it's invitation and from what I can see, positions are limited.

Anyone with A9X's and L34's who aren't on my mailing list and may want to attend, slip me an email as our club may have some spots left.

Cheers

There's not a lot of info around, just dates at the moment.

Either/or, I'm sure somebody will be able to fit you in.

So cheap to enter, I'm loving these face value events/spectacles, where your not paying somebody to make a living off your hard work. Would have loved to have gone to Bathurst, but spent "quality" time with the family instead.

Interstater's, PM me or Redslur regarding accommodation, although you'll need to pay a deposit of $20.00. Pretty close to the track, and very reasonable $35/person/night. Numbers are limited.

It is dorm/villa style accommodation, but it is out in the Country-side, ten minutes from the track. Did the Qld Club want to get definite numbers together and we'll sort something out?

Yes, just get rough numbers enough to secure a booking at this stage, more details will follow once we've secured the accommodation. You as we will need to take deposits for the accommodation, as I don't think either of us want to be out of pocket from the gonna's.

This is what I'm reliably advised of thus far:-
"The accommodation is a Villa style set up. It is a self contained unit with 20 beds in it (Share accommodation). Kind of like a dormitory. It a fantastic place to stay and a great atmosphere. I have stayed there 3 times and it really suits our needs. At $35 a head per night it is cheap! It is also only 10 minutes from the venue."a

Could be the "Big Torana House" for a coupla days, although we'd need a honorary token gay person for that.

Could be an opportune meeting of the Qld and Canberra Club away from the track.

It's in the mail, I'm expecting that Redslur will receive it today. A dude rang him on Tuesday saying that they are posting out the info. You got anything yet?

This is what Todd sent to me today...

Ladies, Gents hope all is well.

This email is to ask you all to confirm you will be attending the event set for Fathers Day Sept 2/3.
Here's whats confirmed:

Actual 2 day event:
Saturday - scruiteneering and qualifying
overnight accommodation for cars is confirmed from Friday night.
Ticketing covered (should be for 1 pax per car) will confirm by June 30th.

Here's what isn't confirmed:
Hokkers for each car (Marquees).
Friday 1st September ability to do track time laps practice

Please confirm your attendance and an address, with actual car(s) attending - i will then forward a form for you to return to the ARDC and closer a map will outline site and location of parking for trailer drop off and support vehicles.
(Note FYI - this year road cars will be limited and unless they're are in clubs all road cars will go outside the track beside the main grandstand.
The Replica side of things is for cars that are invited or included in this list and for real racecars no longer existing.

These cars will have to be in above average condition and cannot turn up on the day, rather have to be invited.

Any questions, please email or call me directly-
i would like this confirmation as soon as possible

Regards
Todd Martin

yep, been allocated our spots, thats the reason I asked. EC has advised spots are limited and quote "preference will be given to the clubs that enter early with the most desirable cars."

What I posted above was bassically most of the contents of the letter

Is Todd the real organiser, or just a go-between for the real organiser? I might contact a few of our Club contacts and verify what the go is.

No, Todd is not the organiser, Phil Harrison at EC is. I dealt with him last year and am dealing with him this year. I can see some mistakes in Todds letter. All cars will not be beside the grandstand, thats an option you can take up. Read the letter I posted. BTW as per last year, no BBQ's at all, and there may be a chance of some other clubs getting marquees like the A9X club did last year.
