The L34 dizzy has an additional plate attached to the original dizzy body with the part no and modified by repco on the side.

The part no is:9937289.

Good luck.

Hi Guys.

The best & easiest way to ID an L34 dissy is that they are the only V8 Holden dissy that have 4 lobes on the shaft instead of the usual 8.

I've seen many supposed L34 dissys advertised & at swap meets etc. & they're nothing more than a standard dissy with a 'Scorcher' twin point conversion fitted. These still use an 8 lobe shaft because the points are wired in parallel to 1 coil. The genuine L34 set-up has 2 points, 2 condensers & 2 coils, wired as 2 separate systems.

Dr Terry.
