Hi Likeatiger

Yes, we are still here. Usually get a spike in work before the end of the year before the break.

Thanks Brad, those phone numbers are correct.

If you like email me your phone number and someone will call you back Monday or early next week.

Rare to find good service these days....rang Steve a week ago to order door trims for LJ XU-1...he called back in a couple of days to tell me he was finished and then was only too happy to open up his shop on the weekend to let me pick em up. They look sensational. Highly recommended.

Can you make up a set of lc gtr door trims in any colour? Could i supply you with the vinyl if you can`t get the right colour as i have a fair bit that i bought years ago?

Thanks Mark (I used to own that orange lc gtr that you would see around the Beverly Hills area years ago.)

Hi Mark

Yes Steve remembers you and your car. To answer your questions, yes we can make door trims with your choice of vinyl colour and yes you can supply the vinyl subject to suitability. Please call to discuss any specific combinations. Workshop will be open from Tuesday next week. Currently workshop phone number diverts to Steve's mobile.

Does anybody have any advice on which interior looks best lh or lx???
I need help deciding..
My cars a lh but dressed like a lx and I always thought the lx seats and door trims looked nicer but now after I seen some pics from cools im not so sure..
Ive noticed theres a pic of an interior with lx seats and lh door trims if im not misraken that looks pretty good too..
Someone help I cant decide
I actually like the rear lh seat having that top bit that sticks out compared to the flat lx rear
Any advice on whats more sought after will be much apreciated

Hi ohhgeee

That's a difficult question, it's very subjective because everyone will have a different opinion of what appeals and what doesn't.

For instance in recent years we have seen a move away from custom interiors that were designed to stand out from the crowd. These days there is a move back to factory interior combinations. I personally like the factory look of all the Torana models, they are timeless, but that's just my opinion.

If you are trying to restore your car to be consistent with a particular model it might be better to stick to either LH or LX throughout. If you mix and match be prepared to continually explain to people you used LX door trims with LH seats or vice versa on purpose. We can add the additional padding to get the SLR look you mentioned on the rear seats if required.

To get some ideas of what appeals to you, can I suggest you have a look through the build threads and see what others have done with their projects.

At the end of the day it's what makes you happy, there will always be someone that has a different opinion. I will attempt to post more photos soon.

If you want a chat and share some ideas feel free to call the workshop on the number below.

Thanks for the polite and thought-provoking response mate..
Have you ever trimmed the torana in factory style but all black instead of the grey inserts??
Got pics?
What you think of this idea?

Ohhgee, mate ultimately it comes down to personal taste. I also have an lh in lx clothing and personally I love the LX interior, but each to there own. As for Steve from Cool's, good guy, has done a lot of quality work and I used him because he was so highly recommended by others on this site, and 70's interiors are what he specialises in.

i like lh door trims but lx seats..
althought i dont like the idea of it looking like a mix and match interior to the keen eye even though i like the look of it, lets face it most people wouldnt know the difference anyway.
i think im going to just go with the complete lx interior but all black, the grey inserts are nice but i think the all black has a special look to it.

cools how much for the lx slr door trims in all black with black golf ball??
so exactly how the lx slr black with grey but instead all black if thats available
thanks in advance
