BASTARDS should be burned at the stake!!!! Posted Image I'm in Brisbane so will keep an eye out around here for you as well. Although the Perpetrator would have to be some kind of neanderthall to be driving them around.

My brother lives in Qld and heard it on the radio today. Rang me before i even read this.
Lets hope that broadens the amount of people with their eyes open.

But they would have to be like priceless artwork now wouldn't they. where on earth could you
sell them in one piece.

Bastards.

How do you stop a determined car thief!!!!
He had bollards installed but they just cut padlocks which was the weakest link.
The demand for spare parts needs to be looked at more carefully as the market demand is there & these cars are being lost to the greedy pricks who don't give a dam about our heritage.
The supply & demand is the problem & that affect us all.
I'm feel sorry for the owner & I'll keep my eyes peeled also.

Did they have any sort of immobiliser in them?

I know they can be over-ridden but at least it buys you some time.

Those GPS unit tracking thingy's or those things where you can turn the car off remotely are looking like a good idea.

Is there any sort of system where a unit sends you an SMS when the car moves and you can choose to turn it off?

If you're driving it, you wouldn't care, but if you're not, you may be able to do something about it.

that pisses me right off,

those pricks should be hung from the balls, for everyone to throw rocks at.

you would think some kind of enclosed truck or trailer was used ,as heaps of people would have seen them.

i hope someone see,s something ,and they get busted ,and the cars returned to rightfull owners.

Mate I know how you feel...I live in Pacific Pines and have also had two cars stolen from my house (at separate times) My HSV VX Senator was stolen in Feb this year and my other Commodore was stolen in Aug this year. I am really thinking about selling my house and moving away. Ive been burnt twice and its not a good feeling, a feeling that nothing is safe... I will no doubt be keeping a very close eye and ear in the area.

Cheers Steve

I will be getting a GPS tracking device fitted before my project is complete. I don't have a dog yet, but I want to get a rottie (when the kids get a bit bigger). I do own a shotgun though. It takes 5 rounds. :)

sadly these days, with instances like that, thieves will become the victims of the psycho trying to protect his property and his family. thieves end up charging the other person with aggravated assault and get away with it to boot.

I have just had the most wonderful news my two Toranas have been found along with some of our home contents, i know that they will have been damaged slightly, forced ignition locks etc (keys were not used as in some news reports) but who cares they are found. BIG THANKYOU to everyone involved especially police, freinds and local media who have really got behind us in this situation. I will definately be beefing up security as this has been a huge wake up call. If anyone else has this happen to them my advice is people power, get hold of as many media sources you can and let people know. THANKS
