The alloy piston would expand more than the bore with heat - Maybe cool it down or a big press if you can get to it from both sides.

Or machine it out with something.

acually the idea is to heat it to a "dull" (i think) red
then pour water on it asap
it expands and contracts quickly
causing the seal the rust has formed to "break"

Drop it into a molasses bath and let it sit for a fortnight.

Not sure if you know, but you can use the later electronic module ($30?) from the victa power torque engines to replace the points.

You still use your magneto/coil combo and it works fine, but no more point gap to set or burn out on you.

Not yet, got given 3 motors today for it which are in 100000000 X better nick than the one i am playing on so i will use one of them instead, I'll build one up to use for display laps and i might build one off its nut if i ever decide to race it.

Still need to save that Barrel though.

i scored a 2 cylinder 170cc victa mower motor years ago. just need to find some rings for it and something to put it in. something old school like what your doing would be cool. the 160 single cylinder victas are fun specially if you do this....http://motorbicycling.com/f15/my-victa-167cc-turbo-bmx-3556.html#post36891 one day i want to build a hot rod go kart, go to the salvage yard buy 4 victas mount them in a v4 config and have a cool looking toy.

A motor should only take a day to throw together and get running next is getting the frame back to bare metal and fixing the front end then get it all painted, after that some seat padding and front wheels and its done. Its not going to be a show pony, i want it to look how it would of looked back when it was raced.
