Specs for LC GTR 173 Engine

I have just bought a Dec 71 LC GTR with a 173 engine, can anyone help with the specs the head has a H on it. Is it just a 173 0r is it 173S should it have a chrome aircleaner cover with 2850S or is it black standard?

can you let us know the casting number for the head, it's on the passenger side of the head towards the front, according to the book it should be 2811929, which is the casting for 2850 and later 2250 engines with non-adjustable rockers, but it has the larger exhaust valve, valve springs and caps as per the 2600s engine (the complete head for a 2850S engine has a different part number to the standard engine, same casting).
The 2850s (CF prefix) engine used the "XH" cam which is the same as the "CK" XU1 engines. There was a pic around showing the rocker cover transfer, these later GTR's only had a short production run (7 months), congrats on your purchase, post some pics, details when you can.

Shes Escuchean Gold Metallic with Antique Gold Trim (not pretty but maybe rare?)
I think it has a different head No. 2815843 H ske has a CF prefix engine (thanks Grant) how do I add pics?

The 2850S is the most rare torana engine. See pic for logo on rocker. No logo on the air cleaner.
