lol that rat is about the quality of my backyard spray jobs.

ANYWAY

I started doing some panel work on the car. It was a hard decision weather to prep the old bonnet (with the spoiler holes) or the clean bonnet on the part car. I chose the original bonnet as it meant i wouldnt have to respray the underside of the bonnet
20131028_1842221_zps1d44b0f7.jpg
Weather was good yesterday and I was able to shoot the basecoat & clear on the boot lid and the passenger side guard. Things were chugging along well untill every bug in town decided to come and inspect the clear coat before it flashed. Ohhh well they will wet sand out.... back yard spray jobs:/.

What you cant see are the bugs and a couple of sags in the clear coat.

Ohh I need a replacement spoiler, SE Heck type if anyone had one the could throw my way in exchange for some $$$.

the only real consern our of all the frock ups are some fish eyes that poped up in the final clear..... that has me really scratching my head as they went there in the base or the first clear coat only the last????? and i only waited until the last coat flashed before i shot the next.

I think its either:

a) shit from the tree or something air born

b )to0 close between clear coats (i really layered it on think)

c) maybe water in the lines (i have two water traps at the tank regulator and at the join in the two 10m hoses) cause by the compressor running hotter as it way my last series of coats?

If its actually fish eyes then option A would be the most likely.

Laying coats down to quick generally creates solvent boil....This looks different.

Same as water, it looks different to....

Cheers.

20131103_1839571_zps1d5c6ddf.jpg

there all not dings (just the foot long skim) alot of them were stone chips that i hit with the flapper disk then 80 grit to smooth them and a quick skim of bondo.

A big run:

yeh im not to concerned

I have a gazebo with mozzie netting sides at the post office which will be my new booth

http://www.ebay.com....e463ea4f&_uhb=1

hoping this will eliminate both the bugs and unknown contaminate. I got the above results using fast reducer and fast hardener in the open air.

Prolly not, was mostly joking.

But it could....

But it most likely wont.

But it might....

Its unlikely it would happen.

But there is a chance....

assemble it and give it a good wash and dry before use
used one of those before
if you spike it 3 feet into the ground before use it won't blow away with the first breeze :)

MA GEWD.... i need to stop buying shit for this thing!

GE coilovers have arrived (nice!)

and then today I see that the bloke with a mint set of rims on ebay just lowered his price $200. So i offer him $600 even, another $60 off and before I know it he has accepted! Jump on e-go and its only going to cost me $70 to get them over from Adelaide!

SO what type of wheels did I just get?

Keskin Kt1 in 16x9

They will look exactly like....
