(Looks like a Brock Austin A30 Huh?)Pick it up tomorrow....CAMS log booked as a 2A Sports Sedan...

This is beautifully engineered...first thing is to replace the Commodore calipers on the fronts with alloy ones..same on the rear...then get alloy rims in place of the steel rims with alloy centres...that will shift a sheet load of unstrung weight and lighten the car further...then bigger front sway bay and fit a rear one as well...all the builders suggestions...

Then we are looking at fuel injection from a Suzuki 1300cc Hayabusa in place of the webers...Love this stuff!

I dunno about the ridiculous RPM motorbike engine personally, but otherwise this is SO my kinda car.

What does the suspension consist of? Is the fuel tank where the motor used to sit? What rear end does it have and how does the drive system integrate into it?

Sorry must not have been paying attention. You were talking about Hayabusa motors somewhere and stopped reading things properly. Just awesome

I'd stick with the webers myself

Nice little rocket rory
Nice model... when does the full size arrive ?
Big fan of sports sedans myself as you know

Show pics of brakes please.... you know commodore calipers are alloy already right ?
But changing to an opposing piston caliper would be better

Strap him to the roof perhaps???

Would look about the same as stacking a second one of those ontop of the current one...

*starts counting down till cruiza gets back and comes around to kill bomber*

Cheers.

^^^..Hahaah!

Neil,
Check these out..any suggestions?..appears the top mount on the VK caliper was filled then redrilled. Front rotors are Mitsubishi Verada with a few mm skimmed off them.

Changing the brakes won't take any real weight out of the system
But will make them more efficient and give better clamp

Measure between the bolt holes... you might find they line up to be HQ spacing

Maybe look at a wilwood billet dynapro caliper
Have to be to suit 1" disc as the Magna is 24mm (1.25" pistons)
I'd go with alloy pistons and dust boots... get yourself a set of seal kits for spares
They are radial mount so making an alloy bracket should be easy
If you want to fancy it up and cut your rotating mass... look for a 2 piece disc first
