I did mine myself and I think it turned out great

But I wouldn't do a Torana.... I like the lines just as they are and the chopped ones I have seen look out of proportion and silly

Heres mine anyway

If you're going pillarless with no side glass the easiest/cheapest way would be to lay the front and rear screens down so the glass doesn't need to be cut or custom made. If you're making all new glass anyway then you can do whatever you like : )

I love the 426 idea. Especially if it's backed by a New Process 4 speed with pistol grip shifter : )

I know I'm a long way from you but if you want any info/help on doing the chop feel free to PM me or ask here.

Are you leaving it a 4 door? I saw someone on here advertising hatch door skins for $330 each. Would be easy to cut and shut some sedan door frames and have a nice 2 door pillarless sedan!

Sounds cool - personally I would go for a 2 door with hatch or stretched doors and a huge chop - would look tough as. And I would do it the hard way by keeping the angles of the front and rear windscreen - laying them back will soften the look too much IMHO.

Where's Leakey and his photoshop / design skills ?????

You'll need to seriously sort the rigidity of the shell before going pillarless. LH/X/UC are definitely prone to twisting through the centre.

At minimum a structurally rigid hoop running down each B-pillar and joining under the floor, keyed into chassis strengthening. If going 2dr, then links running back behind the ex-rear door panels. The stiffer you make the chassis and remnant B-pillars the better.

Grant..

Just wondering if it's a 4 door pillar-less and with the rears being suicide style doors where do the strikers and latches go ?

Unless you remove the pillar :D Strikers/latches in the base and front door latches into rear door.
You just can't drop someone off front the rear though............

Better just leave the pillar there.

You need the bottom section of the pillar for the door seals to strike on anyway

Why would you need the bottom but not the top sections?
