Update:

Me - 4 discs
guy from Pt lonsdale - 2 discs + 2 mates who want 2 each = 6 discs
DanWA - 4 discs
Milco - 4 discs ( possibly another pair.. waiting confirmation form a bloke.)
Absynth - 4 discs
Derrin - 4 discs

So that's 26

What's the go with the slotted ones? Can you do this afterwards, or is this part of the manufacturing process?

Nah, if im going to get them, im either going to get all slotted or all solid.

At this stage, pending the husband's approval, it looks like they'll be sold in pairs at $260 a set for slotted ones, with approx a 3month lead time.

Please let me know if you're still interested.

RDA wants 100 .... should be a pallet load @ 176 discs
Paid for up front

Working on it still

Do you reckon u could get me a price on 100 solid /slotted? I dont particularly care if they're slotted or not, but it apprears that the rest may be easier to sell if they are slotted.

Ok so far I've had 1 person agree to the rotors with the prices i've been able to sought.

RDA were a no go, and on the advice of Race Brakes, no one else will be interested in running a small run apart from DBA, which pretty much means its this or nothing unfortunately.

So please let me know if you're keen or not, I was hoping to order these next Monday as it will take 3 months to be made. However I'll need at least 10 sets presold in order to go ahead.

So far i have:

ugly bob 1 set

Also I forgot to add that i can get solid and slotted in the same batch, so let me know if you'd prefer solid.

Bloke i contacted on ebay about un drilled discs said maybe Hopper Stoppers could help?

An engineer i spoke to also said he wouldn't mind as much discs already have multiple un-used holes from the factory already, the skyline only has 4.

I spoke to Hoppers last year, no go, they don't use them for any of their conversions, need to order a minimum of 100, etc, etc.

They all go thru DBA
Don't get too keen on trying other places or they will consider you a time waster
We all talk to each other in this industry remember

Our engineer told us to, otherwise i cant say i would have thought of it. I would have thought that the price was the price.

Its all starting to become too hard. I just wish our engineer would come back and say he's happy with the extra holes and everything would be fine!

OK so we have so far:

Me - 4 discs
guy from Pt lonsdale - 2 discs
DanWA - 4 discs
Milco - 4 discs ( possibly another pair.. waiting confirmation form a bloke.)
Absynth - 4 discs
Derrin - not sure if you are after any or not??

So that's 20 definites so far. I've requested a price so will let you know how we go.

Hi Guys,
sorry to vary the topic a little, but what is wrong with putting the rear discs that Holden designed for a Torana in 1970? ( GTRX )

GTRX rear discs were eventually used in the UC SLE Toranas and occasionally they still come up, maybe the disc will match to your Japanese ones, have you looked at this?

If you have to have new discs made why not get the UC ones, and brackets made? HZ callipers can then be used as they are the same!

It's just a thought as I'm running the R31 discs on rear of mine.... But Volvo 240 -- 740. 1974 -- 93. Pre ABS rotors might be the go.... I am thinking along these lines for the front with HX stubs & calipers and hoping it maybe a bolt on arrangement ?????? 5x108mm was also used on Leyland P76. I think, but parts for these wouldn't be easy to find......

OK so we're giving the blank rotor run a miss due to lack of interest.

Can someone please give me a quick mechanics lesson!

What i'd like to know is how do i see if the stud pattern on one rotor is the same as what i need for a torana stud pattern? Obviously its not just a matter of seeing if it has 5 studs!
