Hey,

Im thinking on doing something to my car as i havnt touched it for about 12 months and i dont want to loose interest in it. The plan im thinking about is to get:

single plane manifold - torque power or similar,
new carb probably a 600 or 650 holley.
new cam, lifters etc looking at crane cc286 or similar,
and 2500 stally

while im at it i might take off the heads and see how the top end is looking.

Here is how i want it to look along with with something around 17inch simmons in a photochop i did...

What's the go with those mags and stud pattern? They look awesome on the Torana's

I don't suppose anybody has a list of mags that do fit with standard Torana offset?

Loki, I think you'll find they're either readily availible in HQ pattern, or they're custom made for Early Holden/HQ pattern in sets by demand.

cheers guys,

i think simmons make torry pattern, id expect them too lol. then i think you order them with the offset you want. would simmons know the offset for stock torana? or does someone on here know?

cheers

I reckon for the price you are going to pay to get a special set of torana FR's ( they just dont have shitloads of torana stud pattern mags lying around anymore ( I think simmons dont even make their wheels anymore , but someone else has bought them out )) go the hole hog and change to hq or even better commodore brake pattern and you may be able to pick a second hand set up at a reasonable price on ebay, and then if you ever want to sell them, you can reach allot larger audience, plus have better brakes ( discs all round )

just my opinion, but I reckon most will agree.
cheers julian

they look good, I think the chop makes them about the right size if you compare them to the 17s I had on my LH, look here for pics
