Iv been chasing the 12's lately aswell. I changed from a warm hydraulic to a larger solid cam (XE282S) aswell as a quality tune ^_^. I went from a 13.13sec pass to a 12.16sec last weekend.

Nice pickup - almost a full second ! Goes to show you need to chip away at this stuff, getting the combo right is the key.

Yeah, I was stoked, looking for 11's now  . The tuning talent contributed to alot of the gain aswell. Solid cams are the go. Its even more drivable on the street and idles strong at 800rpm. I find adjusting the tappets is easier than hydraulic aswell. Had enough traction on street tyres on 18psi also.

Hi guys just an update. Have finally cracked a 12. First pass of the trailer was a [email protected]. Second pass was a [email protected]. What we did to finally get the 12's.
Changed the turbo 350 trans to a trimatic. Swapped the 3800 stally to a 4000 stally. Changed the camshaft from a large hyd to a small solid cam(crow #5803) and just lifters to match the cam. nothing else changed in the engine. Am very happy now finally cracked the 12's.
Thanks

Hi guys, just an update. Have been playing around with carby spacers of late. Have played with no spacer, 1" supersucker and a 2" supersucker. Have found best results with the 1" spacer over the others. I am useing a stripmaster intake so its pretty high to start with. 60 foots have come down to 1.68 and a best 1/4 of 12.13@110mph. Looking at exhaust set up next to try and free up some horse power.
Thanks Bob
