I might have killed the kit idea off, as you can get them all off Summit as per my earlier post in this thread ...

It was your post that made me revive the question , summit being almost 200 notes for a handful of globes and a flasher

anyone think that clear tail lights with coloured LEDs would look ok? Maybe if there is enough interest we could get rare's to do a run of them?
I been thinking of fitting something similar to the truck tail light LED's into the back of the torana tail light, just a thought at the moment

I'm not real keen on clear lenses, but whatever floats your boat.
Keep in mind you need red rear reflectors to meet ADR rego requirements.

I was thinking along the lines of the SLR blackouts at the back possibly looking good with clear tail lights at the back

The reflectors are a separate part, so clear lenses could be done with the reflector added after.

Neither Summit nor Superbright LEDs are prepared to set up a "kit" to purchase these, and will only offer a discount for over 50pcs.

Pretty pathetic, it would only take a few keystrokes in their purchasing system, but we're obviously not a big enough market for them.

Grant..

Interesting. Might try some. Jam the clear ones, IMHO.

Hi guys,

I've just got an LED kit, and im having issues.

Ive swapped the globes straight over,

the taillight brake lights work with the parkas on, but when I touch the brakes they turn off completely.

The tail light indicators do not work at all

The number plate light and both front indicators also do not work at all.

Does anyone know what is going on here?

dont forget the mighty uc
wou;d be interested in the bulb pack
cheers

With the UC stop/tail/ind/reverse bulbs its far better to just pull the fuse, That way any attention doesn't focus on THOSE TAIL LIGHTS. Not something you want to highlight. Look at me ..... LOL

i tried swapping to LED a few years back and had all kinds of weird shit happen to my car.  turn the indicators on and the starter motor would turn over, put foot on brake and indicators would turn on.  i pulled my hair out with it so went back to the original lights haha

This is the flasher relay that I got:

http://www.ebay.com....984.m1439.l2649

Worked perfectly.

I've now got all LED globes except the headlights.
