You want a tremec tko 600 5 speed box for gm blocks. 5th gear ratio is 0.64:1 so u can fit a relatively high diff like I an running a 4.11.

Yes they have a few different input shaft length, the one you want for a holden to keep the shift in the right position has the input shaft length the same as a toploader/single rail.

If you get a toploader length input shaft box all you need to bolt it up is a toploader to holden bellhousing, TKOs are the same bolt pattern as toploader

CRS now list there toploader/single rail bellhousing as TKO as well.

Already been researching this, contacted 1 place in the states that want $2095 for a TKO 500 and they charge a extra $200 for it to come with toploader input length + $495 freight

I purchased a brand new magnum 6 speed from jegs which is rated at 700lbs of torque for $2795, standby AIR freight $545, Centreforce DFX clutch also rated for 700 horses $395. You will need to buy the other bits local but you will be way ahead and the magnum has speedo drive for older cars and the shifter in the right spot! Plus the Dollar is $1.10 today.
