yeah it only took a couple of hours & a few beers to rip out.
the steering box needed a few persuation taps but it got there in the end
& yeah its a W1 650

I think everyone with one in Australia wants to run a V8. Sorry, but I think it's scrap.

Hey guys, nice thread. Love some of the pics particularly with Brocky driving.

I know this is a bit unrelated to the actual topic but are early Commodore K-frames actually different from six cylinder to V8? I thought they were the same and were just a matter of swapping engine mounts.

k frame came today. The vk it came out of had passenger side damage. Would i be able to get replacement lower control arm from .. say pedders?

whiteline sell replacement lowercontrol arms $440 a pair & bilsteen struts go for about $380 each through quadrant.

I had a visit the other week from the owner of this one.

It's had the VH conversion, as well as the V8 and commodore dash. Nice looking car. Much nicer in my opinion with the VH panels.

Brock installed different springs, swaybars, & Bilstein shocks. It handles like a dream!!

is that one for the black monza? or the dirt monza? just wondering how youll keep the ovespray off it now?might have to coat it in lanox mate. also have you got some pics of the stroker engine you now have layin around?

hey monza1.. Is the irs the same as what was put in the vl directors? Or vn/p/q? Just wondering where you source new bushs etc from

There was only a handful of Directors fitted with IRS, & this was the Opel unit as per the Monza. This is different to the later IRS in the Australian Commodores/Statesmans. I've never needed new bushes, so can't help on that one. Sorry.

ben try a superpro dealer. some/most bushes fit a wide range of cars. dont use anything but superpro or whiteline .
