gday everyone,
my clutch went the other day, pushed it in to find it was really soft, there was still a tiny bit left but it soon went completely. i removed the slave cylinder and took it apart to find that the inside of the cylinder was scratched up and full of grey guey shit. i bought a new slave and chucked it in, gave it a bleed, clutch pedal stiffened right up like normal, all sweet untill i took her for a drive, the gears were only engaging when the pedal was almost all the way out. i went for a drive anyway to learn that the clutch is slipping like crazy. does the clutch need adjusting? or is it screwed and am i looking at a full clutch job??
cheers aka

Sounds like the adjusment of the slave cylinder pushrod to me.

If this is a dellow or CRS setup, they have adjusments at both the pedal and slave cylinder end.

Adjusting the slave pushrod so its shorter should give you the result youre after, as it sounds like the pressure plate is not fully engaging. The pushrod should be seating comfortably between the fork and slave cyl and not pushing the fork in at all.

ive adjusted the pushrod so it sits nicley between the fork and the slave with a couple mm play, the clutch is still slipping tho..
