:Headbang2:

and wix2250, theyve done that just to drop the CR and reduce squish area in the meantime. the spark plug side needs to be releived/ un shrouded as that is where all the flow is coming from.

You'll find that Dave Bennett is responsible for the machining....can I get my machining done at your shop?

I have a few YT heads and none have that kinda machining???

At the end of the day this was mass produced shit that performed with the least possible money spent, crap like that high comp proves he was in it for the money not the love....which i have nothing against. Business is business baby.

I dont have a machine shop when it comes to combustion chambers mate, im just a crazy mofo with a die grinder, cc ing equipment, basic knowledge of fluidynamics, half a brain, and im not out to make a quick buck.

Cheers.

I've got an alloy turbo head...they are different shapes....the cast and alloy turbo heads were the same shape as each other....available in 69 and 72 cc combustion chambers.

I used to own a yt head with the same shape as the one pictured....until I cracked it.

186s are an awesome engine. I'd nearly take the 355 chev out of my torana and put the 186 back in lol. When it had a 186 and borg warner 5 speed in it, I ran the quarter at 15.9 sec @ 148 kph with a 3.55 diff ratio. After that we wound it out to see the top speed. It was 185 kph in 4th, shifted to 5th and got to 205 kph before we had to slow down.. All this happened in a full weight lx torana, 2 ppl and $1000 stereo system, twin 12 subs and multiple speakers. The setup was a run of the mill yella terra head, electronic dizzy, retuned 4 barrel rochester carb on top of a cain 4 barrel manifold with 1/2 inch 4 hole insulating spacer, ford xy gt shaker assembly (yeah on a holden 6 lol). The only 6 cylinder torana with one, it made ppl look to see an offset shaker scoop on a torana. A waggot 30 70 cam which with the setup gave a good powerband between 1800 to 6200 rpm. fully balanced, lightened flywheel. The drivability was amazing. Could cruise up hills in 5th gear and driven sedately could return 11 litres per 100 k economy. Sometimes I regret changing to the thirsty chev.
