you can buy new remade caps from a distributor place in melbourne but you can not buy the rotor buttons anywhere.

I think $305 for a NOS L34 cap is reasonable given they are so hard to find. I appreciate that you can buy after market ones but you cant beat NOS :<_<: :<_<: :<_<:

Scuse my ignorance.. but what's different about an L34 one?

One dizzy cap is the same as any other to me! (But i'm open to being educated :) )

I would have thought that the guys who are willing to pay $200.00 for an old and used Torana ashtray are the ones who add to the rising costs, especially when Rare Spares make a very good clean new looking repro one at less than half that price ;)

Of course blantant bullshit on eBay must also be a part of this.

Tiny,

The L34 has two coils.

The L34 cap must accept two leads from 2 separate coils thus the top has ten connections, not nine as per standard.

The "remade" ones are black and also you have to send your dizzy to Melbourne to get the clearance right for your rotor button.

I was wondering about that aswell. I thought it might be someone advertising an L34 dizzy cap like they advertise XU-1 rear doors.

And its people like that why i am getting rid of L34 when i get it on wheels again , Read the junk that he wrote , The number of people that think they they are special and can manipulate an auction , If you put it to auction it means you take whats offered not what you want and more if somebody is stupid enough to pay that much for it .I would like to buy it but i am not paying stupid prices for items anymore , i would rather do without than pay over the top prices , I am after a dizzy to suit, and know where there is a couple but no way i am going to pay what they think they are worth , and what good is a L34 dizzy to you if you are never going to have a L34 , Anyway enough of my pet hate , TREX

Sorry to go off topic, but people prefer the genuine aged ones, because they match the equally aged dash. The Repro ones stand out like a saw thumb apparantly. That's all
