Next weekend I'm racing in the Crowbar Racing team at the Wakefield 6hr enduro. Anyone else here heading to that event? They have 17 teams entered so far. We get Saturday for practise and qualifying then race on Sunday. Should be fun.

I'm driving this...if the Project U brakes arrive after they stuffed up the order and our g'box parts come in from Japan in time. Bonnet scoop is where the intercooler sits on top of the engine. Its a factory supercharged enigne in it, its no Torana but gets around a race track alright

What times it starting Rob? Although with -2/-3 temps, getting a hot heater in the VN is gonna be a higher priority.

We are rolling up around lunch on Sat for practice and qualifying. Not sure what time they kick off Sunday probaby 8/9am. They forcasting rain so bummer our other car not going as its a rocket in the wet. This one will go ok just more of a rally car than dedicated track car.

Hey fellas, well it was a full on couple of days and the rally car was a lot of work, its not at all setup for tarmac and it was a challenge to drive it consistently fast. While there I met Jason with the nice looking GTR and spent a bit of time with Rob who owns the SS replica. Like most people I've met from this forum a top bloke and helped me out a few times with some Bathurst style full set of wheel changes as we went to semi-slicks and then to wets. His car was THE BEST looking thing there and it sounded fantastic as it when past. I did almost get past him deep under brakes on the Saturday as he was having engine trouble and it was my big chance...but I was worried he mightn't have seen me and I didnt want to take the risk. Cool car transporter he has too. Barry he gave me some bits for you to pick up as well.

thanks for the pics jason it was good to see you and your dad.
and rob it was good to meet you and your mates i had a top weekend we all got on like old friends.still recovering from changing your wheels lol
sorry tony i didnt get a chance to film anything i didnt even think of it.
times were down as it was cold.a 1.1599 was my best and after a spin i pulled my head in a bit.it wasnt the day for cutting quick times.as a guide the yellow monaro in my team and its skilled driver are targa veterans.he was only doing low 1.15's on the day
but the wet weather driving was awesome.there were no wankers out there and everyone was respecting everyones abilities or lack of so my butterflies whilst waiting in pitt lane before going out to a wet track were unfounded.it was good experience.
would be nice to see some other toranas out there though i was flying solo again.that wet track was lc/lj territory lol.

I don't mind saying I get a little bit aroused by your car Rob350hatch.... G-r-r-r... :P

BTW, thanks again for the Dash. With a gentle clean up it'll come up smick... And if you ever need something done around Leeton - Griffith way, don't hesitate to ask....

Cheers
