got this ute off ebay last week and going to cut out all rust straighten body and paint ,
its just to give me something to do and make some money from, today i had to pull 100miles of central locking and alarm system out and toss it in bin where it belongs/
started body work by taking doors off, windscreen and back window out, and cutting rusty metal away from plenum on drivers side, drivers door is repairable but passemger will be used for replacing rear quarters and plenum as frame has rusted out around hinge area and bottom of where door trims sit,its got a 308 and auto fitted and states man twin headlight front.Posted ImagePosted Image

yeah its a bit nasty but will cut the rest out monday and weld in new metal and rust proof it,lower rear quarters anr missing bottom 3 inches and behind back window has hole about 3 inches long near drivers side end.
funnily enough i got lucky as the floorpans are great as is the door pillars the drivers side top made me think it was going to be bad around there but somehow its not rusted it at all even with the gaping hole that was there just above it, will post pics as i finish sections

thats immaculat compared to mine but your pass side plenum looks worse than what i have started with, your rear quarters look mint and its super straight,,BONUS,
i paid a grand for mine but only cause it has a 308 otherwise i would not have got it.

Posted ImagePosted Imagewelded in new corner after spot welding folded edge as per original.we ran straight edge over whole lower door and not one bit of warping was found,,,Yeh,then cut back half inch of bog on corner of nose cone ,seperated it then panel beated bogged dent out and welding a couple of pin holes up ,when bigger hole is welded it will only require a smear of bog instead of the 2 ounces we ground out today.hopefully we will get top of plenum finished tomorrow as well.

Posted Image cut out rusty secion of rear quarter on passenger side and took an hour to grind out 1" of bog where there was a small dent and a ripple so some moron decided to reshape panel top to bottom including body line that was in ok condition underneath the roughly to big tins of bog , the bog getting moisture under it caused the massive amount of rust,as the metal under bog was completly covered in surface rust

Cut and unpicked spot weldson damaged back panel to repair and weld up properly after rust is treated as it was hit up back and being double panel it was too strong to slide hammer out,
