I pulled the sump off dads 202 the other day and the sump was baffled with a little hinged trapdoor thing in it.
does anyone have a picture of what a XU-1 sump looks like?

Cheers

The same. A mod was done by brazing around the bafle plate to limit leakage.

That is for LC's. Dont know about LJ's

if it has a trap door it is more than likely a xu-1 sump, standard sumps had baffles but no trap door.

As early as EH they had trap doors in them...if it is an LJ 202 XU1 sump it should have clearance for the rod bolts.

A pic would clear it up

Have a look at the ports on the head, If someone has gone to the effort to fit an XU1 sump there must be more surprises you would think.

yeah, it has a YT head, the exhaust valve is as big as a standard intake valve. the cam is lumpy, but im not sure how lumpy as I havnt heard it run with a proper exhaust, the extractor finish after the first collectors at the moment. its only going to be a temporary motor, till we get the 186 finished
