There are kits available i see through this mob
http://www.ebay.com....=item519b48fb49

Is this "hamburger with the lot" any good or are there others available ?

I just want a quality product

The upper rubbers are original so they should be good.

There are better lower rubbers that have a solid crush tube instead of the rolled steel tube.

Moog ball joints are probably better quality.

The grease nipple on top of the tie rod ends could cause clearance issues depending on the which brakes you have.

The k-frame mounting rubbers look good. Personally I prefer to use SuperPro bushes for the k-frame mounts

I don't see anything wrong with the rest of the parts.

Yep I'm fitting one of these kits this week, looks better quality than anything else on ebay...
Make sure you tell them if you've got a RTS front end or not.

Based on what was listed, it wouldn't matter what front end you had with that kit. The only real difference is the rack mount bushes, which are not included.

I didn't think so either, but according to the seller the front lower arm bushes are slightly different.

personally, there are better brands than what is supplied here, youll pay more, but they might flog out in half the time. I also would spare no expense on ball joints there are some good examples on here how bad it can go it they let go!

Thanks for the responses

Neil is there a place in Perth that i can go to pick up what is needed -- will be down that way mid Dec so i can sort it then
And if there is a spare set of the Moog in the next lot i will take them if i could

Read somewhere on here it is best to go nolothane on the lower control arms and the original rubber on the upper - thoughts?

So according to the ebay add needed is -- anything else?
  • 4 x New upper inner pivot bushes (genuine GMH)
  • 4 x New lower arm inner bushes (quality Aust manufacturer)
  • 2 x New outer tie-rod ends - Castle nuts and Greasable
  • 2 x New upper ball joints - Castle nuts
  • 2 x New lower ball joints - Castle nuts and Greasable
  • 2x Upper Bump Stops
  • 2x Lower Bump Stops
  • 8x K-Frame Rubber Bushes
  • 2x Outrigger Bushes
  • 2x Sway Bar Link & Bush kit
  • Rack mount bushes

The D bushes I would presume are not included, as they would vary depending on the diameter of the front bar used.

UCgazman, GM-H used different bushes in the lower arms as an exercise in bullshit baffles brains. Just use 4 stiff rubber bushes in the front.

They are actually quite good prices
I can't do any better than that with Mackay rubbers individually

When WA Suspensions did my first Torana they reccomended a combination for the front end. They fitted poly for the lowerrear two and rubber for the lower front two or the other way around I cannot remember, but can check my photos if someone else doesn't know. K frame to car were all poly as were the steering bushes and sway bar. All bump stops were rubber.

One? It's normally good practice to replace ball joints as a pair. This is because they are both generally as old as each other, so are probably just as rooted as each other.

He'll be replacing 2 ... but one of the ones I sold him seems to be minus a boot and plate to hold the boot on

So I need to find those parts or get another joint
Well...I don't need too... cause I think he lost them himself... but I'm a sweet guy so I'm trying to help the poor unfortunate out

Yeah it all went in fine mate, quality seemed good on the aftermarket bits and of course the genuine nos bushes were spot on. Glad I didn't go nolathane, these ones fit heaps better.

Sweet cheers mate, I'll have to look into getting this in the new year when I've saved my pennies after Xmas! I'm definitely keen on a kit that supplies everything you need so you don't have to shop around for every little thing.. :spoton:
