Hey Guys,

Needing to do a floor pan and have been told by a few that cutting the old pan out undersized and pressing a lapped seam into it to fit the new
pan is the way to go.

From memory there is a phneumatic tool that presses the lap into the old metal ready to accept the new metal.

Anyone know where I can hire one in brisbane ?

cheers
T Nut

I think the tool you are thinking of is a "Joggler" or "Panel flanger". You can build a hand operated one out of a large door hinge or an old set of vice grips if you are so inclined.
