Hi all, Im Mark from Adelaide and im 27 and a struggling musician
I have a LJ 2 door torana which i am currently preping for fresh paint, then dropping in a very hot 202 with triple SUs for now and a 4 speed toploader gox and standard diff till it pisses me off too many times and a NOS setup for a bit of serious fun.
I also own a HG Monaro 350 which is immaculate thanks to my dad buying it brand new and keeping it perfect over 36 years. I occasionally register it but it dont get much road time which is why im doing my torana cause ill drive it to hell n back. I also drive a beatup sigma everyday and hate it so much and run it with no water and the oil is thick sludge and it still runs, and finally a 49cc Pocket chopper which i hoon around on trying to evade the law cause they dont like them too much.
Im not a member of any clubs but will probably join the local torrie club when its finished which should be within 6 months, at least ready for summer fun.
Look forward to getting to know ya's all and getting tips off you as this is my first car that im fully doing myself. from top to bottom. Take it easy all

A tip for posting you're pics -

Register with 'Photobucket.com'
You need to upload the pics on your PC to that site.
Then simply copy the link or pic link under each of the photos
you uploaded, and paste them in to the thread/message on this site.

Once you do it a couple of times its easy!

What sort of music do you play? In a band?

I am originally from Adelaide, Blackwood, so's my wife, St Peters.

But we escaped to Sydney!!!!!!! LOL

This is a really good site for anything Torrie and other less important advice!

put some pics up of those cars, even the monaro is more than welcome here. You will find a few of the guys here own other model holdens as well and some even own fords so post up pics.

hey all, you all sound cool and ill take you up on your advice as im a novice mechanic but im a motor rewinder/electrical engineer by trade(thats electric motors so unless i build a battery car which in these stupid fuel price times isnt such a bad idea), im in new grounds.
Ill upload pics of my babies real soon, ill just go take a few photos.
Trying to get a band together but Adelaide is slowly dying and nobody here believes in themselves enough to wanna make it in the music biz, so im thinking ive moving to NSW pretty soon but we will see.
Im thinking about purchasing that sweet LC with a 308 on ebay. Uno the yellow racing one that a guy called Rory i think built. He is on this site, actually he is the one who put me onto this site. What do u guys think of his car,, i am in love with it and hope to win the ebay auction but we will see how many $$$$ it goes for. i think 25 is my limit, anything more is dipping into my house funds,, but with no dependants yet i might splurge a bit more.

Your car isnt a red 2-door by any chance.
One other thing,did your monaro have a problem a while ago with a front brake caliper coming loose?

hi every body im mick i am curently building an lx 4 door i has custom trim and a 338 stroker in it with vn heads harrop manifold and a full flare kit and roll cage,drop tank.ill put pics up soon.
