Cool as.

I recognize the old harley wobbles, i've got a bad habit of picking up some jappa to flog around as a daily for a few months and ignoring the big bike, then jumping back on it haha....Had the Harley for 5 years now and still get those wobbles!!

Cheers.

haha yea mate, I just didn't expect how light the steering would be & I was all over the place at the start there!

I was afriad for you going up the driveway lol. Can be a bit tricky going slowly up a hill on a bike especially as steep as that is.

haha Me too!! I really wasn't looking forward to starting off there but bit the bullet & just went with it to be honest. Fair shat myself, but regained my composure a little when i got to the top & laughed it off!

Bit of an update - well overdue! I had to chuck some standard softail pipes on the bike for certification (Dec 2012), then put it thru the compliance centre & passed no worries

The problem with the softail pipes though were that the rear foot peg hit the top of the pipe, therefore getting a hot foot very quickly was the biggie for my partner! And also I felt that the standard pipes were holding the bike back (didn't feel very free), so I chucked the short shots back on & shit did it make a difference! The engine felt so much more free running - & damn it was load. Didn't worry me though cos the sound is behind me when I riding haha..

Now this created another problem for me as I didn't really like the look of the short shots & wanted a pipe that extended to the back wheel, & I also didn't think these pipes wouldn't pass a warrant either being so loud. I looked at drilling out the factory pipes, but when I took them off I found out they'd already been butchered inside with the baffles removed so there wasn't much more I could do to them.

And with them heating up the foot peg it still wouldn't have worked well.

As luck would have it a V&H long shot set of pipes came up for sale at a good price so I got them as they were exactly what I was after! Fitted them up & took the bike for an early warrant a few months ago & it passed sweet as  :spoton:

So this is where it's at right now & couldn't be happier. Still gotta make a new number plate bracket as the old (new) one broke off cos of the vibration, but other than that it's awesome to ride.

If I get a chance I'll take some better pic's when I get it out again (that don't happen much though)
