G'day All,
Have a LX and the black circular part on the window winder has come off. Had a quick look & it seems it cannot be put back on or fixed. I am guessing then it's a matter of getting a second hand one from the wreckers. If this is the case then do I need a special tool to remove the old one.
Interior Window winder.

There is a helpful tool to remove the winder, about $10-$12.
Let your finger do the walking and ring a speed shop or try Rare Spares
Wreckers will be the cheapest for a replacement or try Rare Spares for a good one maybe?
Cheers

Forget that you can damage the door trims. use an old t-shirt (see other thread...There is a helpful tool to remove the winder, about $10-$12.

Your special tool is a old t shirt, Turn this inside out and rotate around the winder. This will trap the C clip in the seams and thus will remove the fixing device. then just push winder back on... Do not buy a winder removal tool as the tshirt does a great job and you do not stuff your trims..

I like the sound of the t-shirt trick.
Removes any chance of damaging the door trim.
Thanks for sharing it.

Tshirt or piece of rag works great!! I'm a fan of specialty tools but why buy them when somethin so simple works so good...
