Hey all
Got a sender and it appears to have .8 ohms cold then in hot water goes down to .15 ohms.
Is this the right sender because the gauge doesnt move when i run the motor.
When i earth the sender wire out it the guage moves.
Thanks

i doubt you have a multimeter with that sort of resolution, and you have misread it. If they were correct, then the sendor should do exactly the same thing as when you earth the sender wire.
The correct sender should have a cold resistance in the range of 75 Ohms cold and 10 Ohms hot. If you mutiply your values by 100 they are about right, but given the gauge doesnt move, perhaps you are more than a factor 100 out on the scale and you have a sender that its offering much higher resistance than that.
