Impco Gas Carby ?

Hi i was wondering if anyone can help, i have a Impco gas carby that i want to put on to a 308, i am trying to work out what size carby it is and if anyone knows any one that could service the carby before i put it on the engine or can any carby service shop, service the carby

it has a 4 barrel base and some numbers

C1 - 30

and

425

does that mean it is a 425 cfm carby and would that siut a stardard 308

Yep..Its a 425 CFM Impco...comes in 2 bases that I know of..Holley pattern and Rochester..may be others, I don't know.

has anyone used one of these carby's what is the performance like compared with a Quady running straight LPG

Tund correctly these run really well. On a 308 car you will find that it will start hell better and run nice but run out o puff at about 4800. Keep in mind that the Gas is a 425CFM where as teh quaddy will have been (Smallest Approx) 750CFM.

So yes it will run great and performance is nto too bad, but do not expect to pull the same revs.

I've got a couple..I use 1 one my 208 daily driver..its gr8..bit rich at idle but it starts up fairly quicly in the mornings (10 seconds maybe)

I plan to use 2 on my 234 turbo :spoton:

Impco 425 is actually rated at 460cfm, see http://www.wps.com/L...-carb-size.html.

Ive actually got a cm125 which is rated at ~200cfm. Which theoretically limits it to 4500rpm on a 202, which isnt a prob.......though it pulls hard to 5500rpm......where the noise stops me going any further.
