I like the enclosed tool box idea. Might do something similar for the LJ. I don't really like having the surge tank and EFI pump open in the boot. I suspect the fuel tank connections also contribute to the intermittent fuel smell. Has anyone had success with sealing the boot from the cabin in a coupe?

Hi all, building a LH with a 5.0efi (VQ) motor.
Is the surge tank really needed?
Can I just run.
From tank
Inline efi filter
Carter black lift pump
Stock VQ fuel external Pump to engine
Return line off fuel rail
To adjustable fuel reg,
Back to fuel tank.
I asked this question once ....... now i'm broke.
