As my old hard brake lines were thrown away by the shop re-making new ones, I've got no templates to work off... I've got the large engine bay one and the short prop valve to rubber hose ones sorted.

But I'm hoping someone can please take some detailed pics of there brake lines from the Master cylinder to proportioning valve of a LH so I can re bend these new ones. I've got a big nut master cyl also, so not sure if that changes the shape of the pipes.

Any help would be great. Thanks.

Thanks Neil. That would be greatly appreciated. I've been scanning through my books and the net but it's kind of hard to determine where the bends actually are.

Just tonight I've chopped up a perfectly good wire coat hanger and bent up what I think would work. I think I'm kind of on the right track.....

I could actually make a duplicate of mine if I really had to
But mine are to suit single diaph booster so might not be exact for your needs

All good mate. I think there would be a difference as the m/c probably sits further forward in mine I guess??

I reckon with some pics and my coat hanger I can get close.

Thinking about it some more, I dont think the fact I have a big nut M/C should change anything with the pipes, but the fact I have the big booster would. I dont need like macro shots or anything, just some photos at a few angles showing the pipes, that would be really helpful.

The outlets on the big nut are slightly wider apart than the aftermarket cyls... but hardly noticable

Thanks Neil. See how you go with pics this week, or perhaps there are other members out there who also have brakes on there LH SLR's that they could take a pic of.

That LX has the rear brake chamber at the front of the master cyl and the front brake chamber is closest to the booster.
LH is the other way around isn't it?

Thats a great help NOBALLS, really good. Lucky you were able to help out with pics, as I would of had my hard lines ass about... I assumed the front outlet of the M/C went to the front inlet of the prop valve, and same with the rear outlet of the M/C going to the rear of the prop valve...

Phew lucky you helped out!!!

Oh really.... hopefully some one out there owns an LH with brakes that they could take a pic for me. Just to clear this all up.

Brad, the larger reservoir on the master cyl is the front brakes. AFAIK LH is the same as LJ. Small (rear brake) reservoir is closest to the booster. That LX has the larger reservoir closest to the booster. Note the front brake line from the proportioning valve connects to the rear reservoir (closest to booster) of the master cyl.
This change in master cyl configuration was also made in the HX models.
Check where the large reservoir is on your master cyl.

Large port is rear brakes
No matter how the master is configured
And that goes to the larger port on the prop (chubby end next to switch
The smaller master outlet goes to the smaller end of the prop

Yep. And as per this pic, it shows the rear chamber having the check valve which is for the rear brakes. Ok, so I was on the right track to start with, just that LX pic threw me.

Shame no one else here has an LH SLR with the double diaphragm booster that they could take a quick pick of the brake lines....

Different to the LX above but it's the best I can do to make it fit neatly. Not having any LH SLR pics to work off makes it tricky.

Did you get it right, looks like you only mixed up the rear line with the front pass line or is that an optical illusion.

Large chamber on MC is front brakes. Small chamber on MC is rear brakes. Mine are hooked up correctly with the MC I have. But my lines are not bent 100% correctly.
