Well made an attempt on bleeding the brakes but have found the newly overhauled M/C is weeping at the bottom of the big nut. So that means evacuating the braking system, pull the M/C off and take it back to the shop.

Also seemed to find that when bleeding, it appeared that the large resovoir was emptying rather then the smaller rear one. Tried having the brake fail switch parlty removed also but this didn't seem to do a great deal.

Are the two chambers totally independent of each other or are they joined somewhat internally?

Why is it when bleeding the rear brakes the large resovoir was emptying?

So then why on earth is smaller rear resovoir not draining when bleeding?

You mean the one closest the booster ?... for rear brakes ?
Which circuit were you trying to bleed first ?

I initially started doing the rear left wheel and noticed the large front (furtherest from booster) resovoir gong down. So I started bleeding the front calipers and found the same thing? I never had to top up the small (closest to booster) resovoir...? Could it be something to do with the check valve in the M/C?

When I pulled the M/C off, the line connected to the small resovoir (closest to booster) appeared dry where as the front line (furtherest from booster) had fluid dribbling out of it.

Your leaks not helping
Who-ever made the pistons for you might not have function tested them correctly and you have a cylinder that won't compensate... so fluids not getting past the seals
Or your master is not clearanced correctly on the booster

Check check and check again once you get it back leakproof

And yes if the valve is in place less fluid will dribble out the back port as their is a restriction that the front brake port won't have

Thanks Datto. I'll take it back in to the brake shop in the morning.

I do recall him saying he correctly setup the booster shaft and M/C clearance however.

Time will tell I guess.
