hey guys i gotta uc torana which never had a rev tacho i have brought a small one and wondering where/how to connect it up plz help

possibly your tacho has four wires: red, black, brown(perhaps), white or orange.
Black: to earth
Red:switched 12V from ign
Brown: to -ve of coil
white/orange: to light circuit.
Black: to earth

the wire to the neg on coil is usually green
and the wire for the light is normally white
red goes to ignition

Thats it!
I think old mate UCMYUC has double posted this topic, in reply to it on the other one, i stated that the coil one is green (physically went to my car and checked), red ign, black earth and i was unsure about the lights one...
Problem solved!!

hey guys thanx heaps for the help yea sorry about the double post
i connected it all well n good, it seems to rev fine till it hits 4,000 rpm then it just goes all over the joint

Have you got electronic ignition or points dizzy?? That could be your next hurdle...
