Well that's all that I have for now in the way of photos.

I would have loved to get a hold of the car however like I said the bloke went underground and couldn't have anymore info.

It was a very very buggered shell but fixable. The price was to high and the story was to crazy. I was hoping to pick it up for much less than he wanted at the time.

The resto was a major task and to get the car to a inspector I had little time before it left to go back.

The diff from memory was a Harrop? It was a very good one. Not correct but a good one.

I guess you chaps can have a look and openly comment as it should be.

Why they didn't post this info is beyond me but here it is and hoping the true story can be told... by someone that actually knows whats going on.

Could be nothing, could be something.

Red has been kind enough to reopen for constructive opinion so if we can keep our spurs from jingling and jangling to much it may reach a conclusion.

Regards,

David.A

I was on my way to Kangaroo Island so I managed to meet with him on the way.

I spoke further and sent some information off to a chap to review. By the time I received some information the car was back (I think) in Darwin.

No deal was struck and unsure if he still has it or not. I do know its cost him a fair bit of money dragging the thing all over the country at the time. The other thing was he said it was the 78 HDT car which went down like turkey shit on a business shirt so life was very hard for him after that.

Well it clearly isn't, the colour scheme isn't even right. Too bad you couldn't get a VIN, undoubtedly it is a Spare Race shell with all the extra reinforced panels etc, although some things don't make sense. If only you got a shot of the other tags! Thanks for sharing mate.
