Can someone tell me the colour scheme of the LH SL/R 5000 engine bay, my car was originally Chrome Yellow and I intend to return the car to its original colour. Is the engine bay the same as the car with black on the chasis rails? If someone has a pic of the original colour scheme (be it any colour) it would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers
Brad.

Pallbag is right, LH Black, and so are some very early LX's, but most LX's are body colour. And yes the car in the pics is an L34

What is the 'preferred' shade of BLACK for engine bays? As against what was used by GMH.

I am thinking the choice is between Gloss, Satin and Matt.

Any views welcome.

The colour used was tuxedo black in a satin finish, but thats only because it was straight off the gun, not buffed. You can't get Tuxedo black anymore, but PPG Midnight black is the replacement

Thanks REDA9X.

I am thinking ahead for Matts Hatch should we decide to keep it.

Cheers
