202 delayed oil pressure on startup

Hi Paul, I cut it open the other night, tipped out the remaining dirty oil and everything looked the same as Dave's. The ADV was there and intact, so I dunno.

Anyway I'm glad that its fixed itself now and will try changing my oil a bit more frequently in the future - that lot would have done close to 15,000ks. From memory it had started off faint and got worse over the past few months (cold weather, dirty oil???)

I had a similar problem, thinking the 15 year old 179 was due to come out. I eventually pulled the oil pump off, and the bypass valve fell out! The thing is... it's a JP pump I bought new around 12-15 years ago. I dug up a spare, stripped, cleaned, measured, assembled, fitted... no noise! Crook pump! I use Ryco too. Just cut one open after a fresh 202 went in. Pretty good lookin' filters!
