Looks like the business has changed away from Toranas.

^ Yes and no Kerri. I met the new owners at the last club meeting (they joined the QTCC) and they are very keen to retain the Torana link that has always existed. As there is no money in second hand Torana parts anymore (finding cheap stock is the issue) they have had to restructure the business and diversify to make it financially viable. So as well as providing a mechanical service they are also branching out to repro parts for Toranas and old Holdens as well as after market accessories and second hand parts from existing stock.

They will be attending a meeting (not sure if it will be Mondays meeting and AGM) and giving QTCC members a spiel on what the business is now doing and how they are going to continue to support the Torana community. I believe they would like to start up the Saturday hang out type thing again with a casual BBQ and what not.

They are certainly into their old Holdens and all owners are friendly and professional.

Hi, Brandon here, one of the new owners from Milton Performance.

Thank you so much Tony for trying to clear up the confusion. You are 100% correct.
We are die-hard classic car fanatics with a very own small collection of old Holden's waiting to be restored.
(HG Sedan, EJ Sedan & HQ Coupe).

As Tony mentioned, the Torana parts & wrecking does not carry a profit enough to pay rent, let alone 4 wages.
Hence why we are branching in to everything. Once we are turning over a profit, we can start purchasing more NEW & USED Torana parts.
We are currently selling a variety of new parts on consignment as well as buying as much 2nd hand parts as we can.

In the past 3 months we have bought & sold 2nd hand & new parts, established relationships with other suppliers in the classic car restoration business, supplied insurance companies with new and 2nd hand parts, provided free services to countless Torana customers & fitted countless parts FREE OF CHARGE.

As well as performed dealer/logbook services to Torana customers that have Clubsport's, BMW, etc at a much lower price than the dealers but with the utmost care and attention, using only the best quality parts & lubricants.

I myself am a qualified mechanic since 2007, have been in the trade for nearly 10 years, have worked at one of Brisbane's best independent workshops's as well as Mercedes-Benz Brisbane.

We have the skills & the tools to fix any thing that has wheels or a motor. As I look around the workshop now, there is still 80% filled with Torana parts, a 1967 boat waiting to be re-wired, a forklift that needs a radiator hose, an Audi A4 that needs and engine and our own HG & EJ.

We ask you to PLEASE be patient with us as we find our feet and clean up the mess that we got left with.

Our stock is definitely not what it used to be when Andrew was here, but we are trying our best to get this business back in to shape.
Some of the previous owners have burnt customers and the reputation, however we treat every one who walks through the door with 100% respect & honesty.

Torana customers are also entitled to 15% off the labour rate, I'm disappointed no one read THIS POST that clearly explains everything Milton Performance now do, but were quite happy to tell every-one we have changed our customer base and closed down.

We are having a Christmas BBQ this Friday 21/12/2012 from 12pm til late, everyone is invited to come down and see what we have and how we can help you, as well as a free snag!

Once again, thank you Tony for trying to straighten this out, hopefully now every one will clearly understand what the situation is and for those of you who don't can contact me directly on 0408 719 071 or 3353 2947.

Kind Regards, Brandon

Pity I will be busy on Friday Brandon otherwise I'd cruise over for a beer or two :spoton:

I havnt had much luck with a guard and nose cone mate, those in the club who have them are holding onto them. Will keep my ear out though.

Cheers,

Tony

Brandon, do you still have the same email address as Christian as i sent him an email about some parts 0n the 10/10/12 but never got an answer.

Here is a copy of the email, not having a whinge would just like to know if you have the parts and how much.

Hi Christian, Mort from GMH-Torana.

I am have my Torana being repaired and painted in Landsborough at the moment and the panelbeater/painter is fitting the trim around the doors and gutters and has informed me i am missing the 2 pieces that go in the front corner on both front doors and was hoping you might have a couple of good one's in stock.

These are the pieces i am missing.

Posted Image Posted Image

While i'm at it i also need the big spring for the clutch pedal

Posted Image

and a couple of hinges for the glovebox.

If you any chance have all or any of these items let me know what you want for them.

Oops forgot, the car is a 74 LH SL/R 4.2 Sedan.

Cheers
Martin Thomis (Mort)

I would like to say congratulations on being the new owners of Milton and look forward to when you have the new and used parts section up and running profitably.

PS. wish you have replied to this about 3 weeks ago, i was down there picking up the torana from the panelbeater/painter and headed into Brissy to Shannons to up the insurance, if i had known you were still open i would have popped in for a chat and maybe some parts, aw well maybe next time down that way i will have time to pop in and say g'day.
