Just an update on my dailydriver, air lockers fitted "works a treat" and installed roof rack and canopy .
Went away for the weekend and run the engal for three days no problem arrived home and both the primary and secondary batteries had the dick!!!
I'm starting to bond with this thing, anything that drives 400kms out of town and back and sh!ts itself in my driveway is ok with me.
I have been asking around what I can do with the engine as I wouldn't mind doing some long trips to the kimberly's and not prepared to do it with a moter 450 000kms old.
After talking to a few mechanically minded people it would be risky fitting a after market turbo to a 450k plus 1HZ motor.
Engine options:
- Rebuild 1HZ motor and fit afer market turbo
- fitting a chevy 6.2 diesel ( they burns oil?)
- fitting a late model toyota V8 out of a wreck ( I been told stick with the 1HZ motor)
Has anyone gone any of these routes and haad success?
should invest in some real dirt bikes though..
