Truetrac

What kind of oil should I use? Can I use synthetic? Do I need friction additive/modifier?
A quality petroleum/mineral based oil works best in the Truetrac units. We do not recommend synthetic oil. Friction additive/modifier is not required.

I used the oil recommended for an open 9". For example Castrol EPX 80w90

I think any oil designed for a LSD would be a poor choice. Some synthetic oils have caused the Truetrac to be noisy and friction modifiers are of no benefit in the Truetrac. At best you are wasting your money on a LSD oil.
