Some of you may know already about SMASA's push to get legally modified pre '79 vehicles onto our state's Conditional Registration scheme.
Long story short, the Government think they will lose money if they allow the classification. So it is up to SMASA to prove it will be an earner and early stats and anecdotal evidence suggest there are hundreds if not thousands of modified pre '79ers sitting in garages (off the books) that would go on such a scheme.

Anyone in SA with a pre '79 vehicle (stock or modified) is invited to participate.

Get into it! It only takes a minute.

Then share it, email it, whatever, just pass it on to Family, Friends, Enemies or any one with a pre 1979 modified car(s). The more responses the better the data we have to work with.
With enough responses, this will be the lynchpin to our argument as the Government do not understand or know of the amount of cars kept in garages that are hidden from registration statistics.

Updates are currently only posted on our Facebook page - http://www.facebook....groups/smcrego/

SA Clubs are invited to affiliate with SMASA so they can have a say in final submission and boost the number of people we are representing when we talk to the Government.

We are working on a website for non-facebookers.

money grabbing bureaucrats do not understand the passion that motivates us enthusiasts. Our premier we had for years did not even have a licence {who would with a free limo}. Our new ministers only claim to fame is her mother wrote kids books. We vote the clowns in so we are responsible ultimately

Survey done.
I used to live in mid/upper north region of SA, and there are plenty of car enthusiasts there and throughout SA.
So, all of you enthusiasts north of Gepps Cross & south of the Toll Gate, please get on board and do the survey.
Thanks,
Cheers,
Daryl.

done. $894 + $797 a year for maybe 20 odd days on the road is ordinary, and not quite user pays....
