yeh i know some coloum change manuels have blank floor like that dane but i have seen them with the d shape plate as well like the autos have but i have not seen a un-touched square one.

The shifter hole was welded up when converted to turbo 350 and don't have any pictures of the square hole.

back to the original poster of this thread, lets say there where no floors at the time for what you wanted so they took one of the above off the shelf and just cut the shift hole out buy hand, and they would have done this.

Seems like the only logical explanation if it were done at the Holden plant.
