Myself and Three Blind Mice(Bruce) were the last ones to do a coupla laps on the the track back in 2003.
They say its aboriginal land now,but why didn't they claim it back in its hay day, when all of the races were happening?
The strangest thing about this my mother told me not that long ago,the aborignies owned the land accros the road from the race track but not the track itself, just all goverment crap, there is nothing buried there,i reckon wheel nuts and old car parts, from the rallie days and race days thats all.
Regards John.

I've got some Catalina, Warwick Farm and Oran Park on DVD but all are silent as they were taken off standard 8mm and super 8mm movie film.
However as a suggestion, how about showing these at Toranafest after the Fest Dinner
Can Todd's player do DVD's?
Or can a HVTC member bring in a DVD player ?
I'm happy to bring up my lot and there is another one I have of the Harden Hill Climb.
All of these are not long to watch and you have to remember that the film shot was done by amateurs.

That pic of the track looks like it would be a great place to drive around, even just for a bit of a cruise.
The problem with modern tracks is that they're all flat and boring, I am a fan of hills on racetracks because they add extra difficulty/fun.

barry your showing your age now silent movies
barry it makes no difference if they are silent or not.todd couldnt keep quite for more than 2 seconds you wouldnt be able to hear them anyway.
but i would like to see them and sure a few others would as well.
your right potta hills do make things interesting.why cant they incorporate these in their designs?probably why bathurst is so interesting.

Yeah, you look at most of the great tracks and they all have some significant changes in elevation.
I'm thinking Bathurst, Spa, Nordschleiffe (Old Nurburgring), Brands Hatch, Monaco and I could go on but these are all great old tracks that aren't flat like the modern F1 tracks that have been built recently that are boring as batsh!t.

Wow, as promised I'm suprised
The local idiots mustn't have found them all these years. Grab them before someone else does, I would if I still lived there.

You would need a crane to remove that old start and stop sign.

I used to live in the Blue Mountains back then & my memories of the 2 best meetings were 1969/70 with the GT-HOs vs Monaro GTS350s & around 1972 when they converted the track for rallycross. Brocky brought the HDT LC beast up from Melbourne. It was awesome.
