woke up this morning to find my shed wide open, not far from where I SLEEP!!!

My mig welder, socket set, 3 drills, grinder, a couple of boxes of parts gone.....heres the scary bit

they used my tools to remove the 650 holley off my motor, one passenger side rocker cover is off

the drivers side bolts removed but the brake booster has to come off to get that off, the top radiator  hose is off and there is coolant every

where probably inside the motor too, looks like the edelbrock manifold was gunna go to but they gave up,

a box of new plug leads and 2 gilmer belts that I bought yesterday are gone too

my work ute outside had its locks tested too but nothing taken

can a Moderator contact me please I want all my previous posts removed from this site

as you can imagine Im very paranoid at the moment because someone knows the

exact contents of my shed now, thanks Dave.

Maybe time to get a Rottie and some security cameras. There is a good chance they will be back.

A friends work got broken into a few weeks ago and the lowlifes stole half a dozen ipads and other computer equipment.

They tried to break into one of the offices that was locked but must of gotten disturbed by the security patrol. The cops warned them that if the thieves are going to come back it will be within the next week. Sure enough the next Saturday night they came back, broke into that office and got the bosses Mac and trashed the place.

I know what you mean, I worked with somebody back in the 90's that used to "find" Simmons on the weekend.

Hate to say it mate but it is most likely someone who has been in your shed or to your house and knows whats there.

You don't randomly break into sheds hoping to find one with some good stuff in it.

Get a camera asap and get it up while no-one is watching and you might catch the fr0ckwits next time.

Sorry to hear Dave,

Yeah! get a good set of camera's and don't buy rubbish, must be reliable and easy to view and use.

They are great for more than just catching dirtbags, I also have some great footage of me falling off a ladder with a tin of paint, my son getting home pi55ed and collapsing and vomiting at the front door and if I ever have parcels dropped off you can make sure they do the right thing.

Cameras always seem to go in after a theft, just like me, had a break-in then tools stolen the next week then I got the cameras. No more trouble in over three years.

I made the cameras descrete and never put up warning signs, I want to catch them in the act not scare them away.

Marty

Cameras are good but that wont stop people breaking in and after they have how are you ever going to find them go to the police waste off time for me its alarms and dirty great big locks and big security lights with sensors works for me never been broken into in 27 years

Great comment. Now when I get my car back in a couple of weeks I am going to be looking in the rear view mirror as much as looking where I should be.

I agree with the alarms cause this all happened while I was home an alarm would have sent them away and

woken me up, and yeah maybe some knew or has followed me in the car so they could roll me

I cant beleive the balls of these c#@ts to take parts off the motor........they even took the friggin

valve caps off the tyres?

Yes sadly this will be someone you know or a friend of theirs.

Dont bother with the cameras, prevention is much better that trying to get stuff back/fix damage/claim through insurance etc.

Problem with alarms is, most people don't turn them on when home. When they're away most people ignore a blaring house siren.

So go the bigger locks, bollards etc. and cameras.  Even if they break in then get scared away by the alarm, all you want to do is see what these dicks look like and what they did while in your property.

You've got more chance of having these creeps put away with a camera than an alarm, get them off the streets, don't send them to the next guy without security.

This is something I posted in a previous thread about theives. We are on a 5 acer block and the shed is a little distance from the house. Sorry to hear about your loss of gear and invasion of privercy.

Like everyone here would love for the people who run this great country to grow some balls and start to make the minority who pull this shit on tow the line, or pay for it. Not walk off laughing at there punishment like its a joke. Because at the moment it is.

All and any device to help keep your gear with you is worth
the effort.

Me personally I have gone with a good motion alarm system
with two outside strobe lights and alarm sirens and two sirens in the shed.

The trip time is down to 5 sec. And then the joint is lit up
and the sirens will have me coming down to meet YOU to attempt to pull your
%$@$ head off and throw it down the road so ya better be ready to do the same
to me.

Even if I don’t get hold of you your only in the shed for 5
or so seconds. Not a lot of time to start removing stuff that I have worked and
sacrificed to own.

Bollards are great to keep the car in place and well worth
the effort. But you don’t want the shits in your shed for any longer than they
need to be. They might not be able to remove the car but they might be able to
spent 30min taking a heap of your other worldly possessions.

So going on my rant above I don’t want the dogs stealing an old Phillips head screw driver.

Recording devices are good too. But if you can’t identify them then you have a problem.  Some of these wankers are savvy to cameras ect and will have a mask or the such to hid their identity.

Mate years ago had 8k worth of sounds removed from his jappa. Parked outside his bedroom window, alarm on. Someone knew all about it. Don't trust anyone. Any time a strange car comes up my drive... surprisingly more often than I like,  even if just turning around, I get the cars details and write them on the calender on the day, and include the time.

Hope you get your stuff back, they could have a similar car, keep yer ears peeled.
