It can't be easy Mick (sstorana), imagine if any one of us were thrown into the spotlight. I bet for most of us, if someone looked hard enough they would find an online argument or p!ssing competition or something like that to dig up and display us in a bad light. Or if not find someone (be them sane or a nutter) that had a bad or embarrassing story to tell.

 

I guess there is also a little lesson about visible online behaviour, it might come back and bit one day!

I hear ya mick, but honestly bringing it up here really isn't doing anyone any good in my opinion.

I voted for them in NSW too, as I agreed with their candidates and stance and most importantly their preferences in NSW.

All that aside, I would like to see positives on here , not negatives, especially as he had been elected and that won't change!!

I do hope that the media lay off, but I'm afraid after the Pauline Hanson debacle that "less educated" persons, even with the best if intentions make easy targets. I don't want to help the media with that.

Exactly what ^^ these two said!!

Everything you have ever said online, posted on YouTube, or others may have posted OF you can and will be used against you by these media vultures.

Unfortunately I think it will be hard to find a motoring enthusiast who is a clean-skin when it comes to every day life!!
Also unfortunately, that works against you!
(And just look at the way Clive Palmer is portrayed!! Sheesh!)

The dust hasn't settled on the election yet but the media are looking for stories and running with them.

 

This guys an easy target and I thinks he's better off saying nothing unless he has extensive media training..

 

The younger the candidate/politician - the more likely they will have an online history and don't trust any privacy settings and everything is on the 'Record' now..

Guys,

I'm going to take a look back through this thread and have a bit of a clean up.

 

When anyone looks up AMEP - this place comes up high on the list!!

 

I'm going to check it out and clean the thread so that it promotes a positive image of AMEP and the motoring community.

 

In the mean time, I'll leave the thread open, but it will be cleaned, and i wont enter into any arguments about why a post was removed or anything.

Just understand that We need to stand together and do the best we can to SUPPORT each other against the media onslaught that WILL come exactly as lxsstorana said just ^.
