Leo the Styling Guru, says the LH XU2 was only a styling thing, never going to be a goer, and the XU2 on this model is for Harry Firth's nick name for this Yellow LC HDT V8 XU-1, but interesting what Leo said at the Torana Tough Book Launch, that he and he only had Photos of LJ's with XU2 Decals on them, so before LH Torana.

Yes this is true but it's photo evidence of Holden designed XU-2 decals, even if it is a prototype.

Were these designed and placed there officially by Holden or were they custom made privately?

Well if Leo had Photos, they would be GMH Styling Decals on the LJ cars in the Photos, so in 1972 the XU2 Decals.

Usualyl means they will go on sale soon. Check your local Biante model car stockist though because they go on sale in stores before the biante website these days. Just what I noticed with the last models I bought a few months ago.

They are in SA. Got one on Saturday, looks good, but left it in the shop...on layby. There are a few on Ebay.

Be interested to know what you guys think of the spoiler colour - to me it looks like a lighter yellow than the rest of the body.

Yep, all the ones I looked at had the same problem, looks like the spoiler is not painted but moulded from yellow plastic & isn't quite the same colour, in fact distinctly lighter. Pity, because it looks good otherwise.
