hi all a fews weeks a go some one posted a few pics of a a9x hatch on the front row of a car yard in 1977, it had a pic of a lion on the sides etc.
i was talking to a bloke that i sold some parts to on e bay today he lives in sydney
and he says he owns this car. well he said he owns 18 toranas in total, this hatch another a9x sedan, a few l34 and about 10 genuine slr5000,s holy shit i said thats unreal. then he said a bloke from the canberra torana club that just sold his a9x was at his place last week and could not beleave his eyes. who was that i would love to know if all these toranas are fact.

Last I knew, a bloke named Nick owned the hatch. I haven't spoken to him for a few years, but he had a race car as well last time I was there.

Sorry, no idea who that would have been, but if it is Nick, he has been around Toranas a long time and haveing seen what he has had over the years, nothing would surprise me. He had a nice selection last time I was there, but like I said thats a few years ago. I don't know that he would have 18 cars, where would he put them all?

Up until 3 weeks back Nick owned that white A9X hatch 13,000kms on the clock.
Said he was going to sell it though, asking $218,000 some stupid odd number.
Supposedly the 1st A9X hatch built.
Its changed a bit since those pics

yeah, no sunroof anymore, and yes it was the first hatch made, listed as the Press Test car, but it's not the car GMH used in the magazines.
