Hey guys,
Im just about to fit my headers onto my engine and have been struck with a confusing situation...
Been told by a couple of exhaust shops (a couple because i didnt know if they sounded like they were B/S'n or really didnt care) that you fit gaskets...or you only fit gasket goop (cant remember product term) with silican around the outside.
4 different shops...2 different answers :fool:

Can anyone here please let me know what the PROPER method is, so as to not having any leaking/etc issues!!

Cheers people

Matt

Matt, We use the metalised gasket + a bit of goop to get a good seal. I'm not convinced!

My honest opinion is to use the leather type gasket with a bit of exhaust goop to get the perfect seal. i think these gaskets are by far the best. Dont forget to re-torque teh bolts a few times after the heating.cooling the system to make sure theyre nice and tight

Cheers
