Hey guys, good to see some aussie icons branching out, lol
Whilst crusing in my "Tuk Tuk' to ride the elephants in southern thailand, noticed a very familiar looking shape ahead.

Passed a brown 2 door LJ torry in nice condition with a set of sprintmaster on her. this one still had plastic on the rear seats.

Made my day, couldnt get the camera out quick enough to snap a pic, so im goin back to see if i can scope it out.

Cheers from thailand

Recently on Honeymoon in Phuket I came across an LJ 4 door sitting in a field, had to go and check it out so next day my wife and I hired a motor bike, "ten bucks' and rode back. The car was in quite a state-cancer all over the place but had been covered with a tarp for some time, it appeared to look like it was originally painted in a green/Silver maybe Turquoise color ??

I have pics if anyone is interested?

"Cheers" :spoton:

Well, I living/working overseas at the moment and the SL/R is at home.

I guess it depends on how long to plan to say overseas. Whether is only a short period or a permanent relocation. I'm only in the UK for 2 years so I can't see the point in transporting the car over for that short of a period.

Also, trying to source spare parts for the Torana would be an absolute nightmare in another country.

It certainly does. I lived in Zimbabwe for a while and imagine my surprise when in the wild back country at the back of some dusty garage I see a sky blue HQ ute!!!

Upon closer inspection I found out that it was badged a Chevy el camino. I always thought it would be quite good to import back to NZ and have the only genuine Chevy el camino HQ ute in the country.
