Converting LC back to LC

Is the process reversible when an LC is converted into an LJ?
In particular, the vertical bits between the headlights and the grille on an LJ - are they welded in and are the nose pieces between an LC and an LJ otherwise the same? Anyone got an LJ parts manual? I have one for the LC so I can confirm part numbers for that model if it helps.
Are the splines on the two steering columns the same?
I seem to recall that there are two indentations, in the front guard panel, for the ears on the headlight surrounds on an LC which I don't think appear on an LJ - is that true?
Any help much appreciated.

if you are not repainting the car you are in for trouble because you will need to do a bit of beating if you have lj front guards.
but the lc looks a million times better than the lj so its worth it

Are the tail lights a straight swap. Any other panel work which might need to be done?
You're right there Jap XU1, the LC does look better, hence the effort I'll probably put into this project!

I've also had a look once myself and i could sware the LJ rear wheel arches are slightly different shape, for some reason. But, that could be my imagination.

The vertical grill droppers are screwed in at the bottom an only spot welded to the front nose panel.
More than likely the rear blinker holes would be filled in.

Where things get messy is if they put the lj crash pad in and butchered a hole in the dash for a radio.
My lc gtr had this done to it but i have a donor car so i cut out the replacement part and welded it back in, cant even tell it was missing.

I'm coming clean now. The LC is a 10/70 Lina Mint XU-1 and is now safely in the garage , which it wasn't when I was asking the questions! Thanks for your help and thanks especially to HG350 and Ben for checking the numbers and providing advice. It's been parked under a tree for 14 years - luckily in a pretty dry part of the country. It's going to take some work but I think it will be worth it.
Cheers
