Hey all, just havin a look on eBay and come across THIS
Whats the go with these? I assume the are to cover the bonnet release catch, but then how does the owner open the bonnet?
Has anyone got one?

they were an optional extra

How hard is it to install an internal release cable? I wouldnt mind doin it to my LJ.

Piece of cake did it on my LC Xu1 over 25 yrs.
Just got one off kingswood.
Then I cut off lug that comes through grill.
If you don't do that no point.

In the 70's if the bonnet was lockable there was a discount available on insurance.
This was a device that when combined with an internal cable pull provided a secure locking system.
However there was also an additional piece Z shaped that bolted on over the sliding lever where the cable attached that prevented access it from being tampered with.
